Our Story: How Rodoslov Began
Rodoslov started as a personal journey that grew into a lifelong mission.
In 2008, Mykyta Kovalchuk, then working in business consulting, decided to research his family roots. At first, it was just a hobby. But as he explored the archives of Chernihiv, Poltava, and Kyiv regions, he discovered that every family’s unique heritage lives in old metric records and the memories of elders.
This experience completely changed his view of history and identity.
After completing his own project, Mykyta began helping friends—first informally, then as an independent genealogical researcher. Each project revealed how profoundly people are touched by their family stories.
From this passion grew Rodoslov—a dedicated platform helping people reconnect with their roots with accuracy, respect, and inspiration.
