The first step is to gather all available information about your family: names, dates of birth, death, marriages, places of residence, photographs, and document mentions. Old birth certificates, certificates, military IDs, correspondence, and notebooks are especially valuable. Even the smallest details can help in archival research.
You can start with a consultation: we'll help you assess the scope of available information and determine the direction of your research. This is often enough to initiate a request to state archives or church authorities.
The cost of research depends on several factors:
- the volume of source information;
- the number of archives to be consulted;
- the difficulty of reading old handwritten sources;
- the duration of work with parish registers, professed data, revisions, etc.
Completion times depend on:
- the availability of digital copies of documents;
- the response time of archives;
- the volume of the search and the number of generations being studied;
- additional services, such as completing a family tree, writing a family book, etc.
